About the role
As an Electrical Designer at our company, your role involves developing 3D models and 2D drawings of various electrical systems for industrial facilities. This includes creating single-line diagrams of power systems, electrical equipment layouts, hazardous area classification drawings, interconnection and hook-up drawings, lighting systems, grounding systems, and lightning protection systems. Key Responsibilities: - Lead a team of younger designers and coordinate with the Lead Engineer to execute Electrical detail design scope on projects. - Coordinate with other disciplines and stakeholders to develop a clash-free system design. - Manage the assigned scope within the agreed schedule, budget, and project quality norms. - Assist more experienced engineers in preparing, coordinating, and reviewing deliverables for the discipline. - Train new staff members on various tools and discipline practices. - Advance in your career by taking increased responsibilities on projects and within the organization. - Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Exhibit good communication skills (verbal & written) and the ability to self-check and produce accurate work. Qualifications: - Minimum 8-15 years of experience in Electrical detail design, including 3D modeling, cable tray design, ductbank design, and conduits design. - Experience in creating and checking cable tray, lighting, grounding, and equipment layouts. - Previous experience in a Lead designer position for executing electrical scope on projects. - Diploma in Electrical Engineering or ITI/NCTVT Electrical. - Familiarity with 3D engineering tools like Smart Plant 3D (SP3D), Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD 2D, and Microstation. - Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Tools MS Word, MS Excel, Outlook, OneNote.
