Piping Designer
Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Piping Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing detailed piping designs, layouts, and models using CADWorx Plant Professional or Autodesk Plant 3D software. They will collaborate with engineers, project managers, and stakeholders to ensure efficient and high-quality piping design solutions that meet industry standards and project requirements.
Key Responsibilities

Develop detailed piping designs, layouts, and 3D models based on P&IDs, project specifications, and engineering drawings.

Utilize
CADWorx or
Autodesk Plant 3D to design piping systems, equipment, and structures within plant layouts.
- Generate
isometric drawings, orthographic views, and material take-offs to support construction, fabrication, and installation activities.

Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and multidisciplinary teams to understand project requirements and optimize design solutions.

Perform
clash detection analysis using tools like
Autodesk Navisworks to identify and resolve design interferences.
- Ensure compliance with
industry codes and standards (ASME B31.3, ASME B31.4, ASME B31.8, ASME, ANSI, API) in piping design, including material selection, sizing, and routing.
- Review and interpret
P&IDs, equipment specifications, and vendor data to incorporate accurate piping details into the design.

Oversee and coordinate with draftsmen, designers, and engineers to ensure seamless integration of piping designs within overall plant layouts.

Adhere to
quality control procedures to maintain accuracy and efficiency in design deliverables.
- Demonstrate
innovation and automation skills to enhance piping design workflows.
Capable of leading and independently handling
small-scale projects
Qualifications
Qualifications & Experience

Diploma in a relevant technical or engineering discipline. Certification in
-
Autodesk Plant 3D, CADWorx, or similar plant design software will be an added advantage .

Minimum 2 years of experience in plant piping design.
- Proficiency in
- Autodesk Plant 3D and/or CADWorx for 3D modeling, isometric drawing generation, and material management.
- Hands-on experience with
- Autodesk Navisworks for collaboration and coordination.
- Strong understanding of
- piping design principles, materials, fittings, valves, and industry standards .
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to accurately interpret
- engineering drawings, P&IDs, and specifications .
- Strong
- communication skills to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and manage design deliverables.
- Experience in creating

project specifications, catalogs, and databases in plant design software will be an added advantage.
