About the role
Job Description: As a Senior Oracle Applications DBA, you will be responsible for the following key responsibilities: - Strong hands-on experience in Oracle Core DBA Administration, including: - Oracle RAC - Data Guard - Performance Tuning - Backup & Recovery (RMAN) - Database Upgrades, Migrations, and Cloning - Solid experience with Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) R12.2.x administration and support. - Mandatory experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) covering: - Compute, Storage, Networking - Database services - Backup and Disaster Recovery - Cloud migrations and administration - Strong Microsoft SQL Server DBA experience, including administration, performance tuning, backup/recovery, and troubleshooting. - Required exceptional communication and presentation skills with a pleasant and proactive attitude. Qualifications Required: - 8+ years of experience in Oracle Applications DBA role. - Proficiency in Oracle Apps DBA, Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) R12.2.x administration and support, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), Microsoft SQL Server DBA, Oracle Core DBA, Oracle RAC, Data Guard, Performance Tuning, RMAN, Database Upgrades, Migrations, and Cloning. - Experience with Oracle Exadata administration and performance optimization is preferred. - Knowledge of automation and scripting (Shell, Python, Ansible, etc.) is a plus. - Exposure to high-availability and disaster recovery architectures would be beneficial. Additional Details: The company, Buxton Consulting, is looking for a Senior Oracle Applications DBA to join their team. The role offers the opportunity to work remotely or in Hyderabad on a hybrid basis. The support hours are based on PST Time Zone with rotational shifts.
