About the role
As an IT-Staff Systems Engineer at Cadence, your role involves developing and implementing comprehensive cybersecurity strategies aligned with industry best practices and frameworks. You will provide leadership in various security domains such as network security, cloud security, vulnerability management, incident response, application security, and IoT security. Your responsibilities include overseeing the deployment and management of security technologies, collaborating with IT and business units to identify and mitigate security risks, and driving the development of cybersecurity policies, standards, and procedures. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and implement comprehensive cybersecurity strategies aligned with industry best practices and frameworks - Provide leadership in network security, cloud security, vulnerability management, incident response, application security, and IoT security - Oversee the deployment and management of security technologies such as SIEM/SOAR, EDR/XDR, IDS/IPS, NAC, email gateways, Active Directory, DAST/SAST, WAF, firewalls, and vulnerability management tools - Collaborate with IT and business units to identify and mitigate security risks - Drive the development of cybersecurity policies, standards, and procedures - Stay current with emerging cyber threats and vulnerabilities - Manage and analyze security metrics, producing reports to inform leadership - Lead a team of cybersecurity professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture - Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders - Communicate effectively with senior management, providing clear updates on security initiatives - Advocate for security best practices throughout the organization Qualifications Required: - Strong hands-on experience in designing, deploying, and managing Network security, IAM suite of technology solutions/services, PKI services, Data Security solutions, Product/Application security solutions, SOC solutions, and tools - Experience in conducting PEN testing, red/purple team exercises, tabletop simulations, IR, and vulnerability management across IT domains and business - Strong knowledge of Microsoft, Linux, Apple, AWS, Storage (NetApp and Pure), Azure, and GCP - Experience in implementing and enforcing security services and control across Infrastructure as a Code, Configuration management, DevOps, and other automation capabilities - Proven experience leading a global cybersecurity engineering and operations team - Relevant experience of at least 10-15 years - Engineering (Computers, Electronics, IT) or equivalent In addition to the specific role and responsibilities, Cadence is an IT Services & Consulting company that values impactful work and solving challenges that others cannot tackle.
