About the role
Engineer – Quality Assurance is responsible for overseeing all laboratory operations to ensure the accuracy, reliability, and integrity of testing and quality results. The role involves supervising lab technicians, managing daily QA activities, validating test procedures, and ensuring compliance with internal standards and industry regulations. The incumbent will support process quality initiatives, analyze test data, investigate deviations, and work closely with production and quality teams to maintain consistent product quality. This role plays a key part in driving continuous improvement in lab practices, product quality, and process control.
Responsibilities
Meeting the EHS protocols & regulatory norms in force To check and control quality parameters of the Raw materials & Semi-finished products and finished product. SAP Data Entry (Test Report) Quality and Process control activities during Shift Operation Testing of XRF, CS Analyser, BD, CCS , PLC, Thermal Conductivity, Flexural strength and other specific tests for refractory materials as applicable. Handling Quality Complaints.
Requirements
- B.Sc. / M.Sc. in Chemistry, preferably with specialization in Inorganic or Analytical Chemistry. 1–5 years of experience in a refractory, ceramics, or related materials lab. Familiarity with ISO 9001, ASTM standards, and refractory material specifications. Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and understanding of QA documentation.
