About the role
As a Sr. Finance Technical Consultant for a multi-year Oracle ERP Fusion Project in the US Public Sector, your role will involve leading and supporting the implementation, customization, and integration of finance-related systems. You will be responsible for analyzing business requirements, designing scalable solutions, and translating them into technical specifications. Additionally, you will collaborate with finance teams to optimize processes such as Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, Budgeting, Forecasting, and Financial Reporting. Your responsibilities will also include developing functional and technical documentation, workflows, and providing training, system support, and process improvement recommendations. Key Responsibilities: - Lead and support the implementation, customization, and integration of finance-related systems (ERP/financial modules). - Analyze business requirements, design scalable solutions, and translate them into technical specifications. - Collaborate with finance teams to streamline processes such as Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, Budgeting, Forecasting, and Financial Reporting. - Develop functional and technical documentation, workflows, and provide training. - Support system issues, provide technical support, and recommend process improvements. - Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on deliverables. - Support system upgrades, testing, data migration, and user acceptance testing (UAT). - Ensure compliance with financial and regulatory standards. Qualifications Required: - 35 years of experience as a Finance Technical Consultant. - Robust knowledge of finance processes and accounting principles. - Hands-on experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Dynamics 365, NetSuite, or similar). - Experience in system configuration, customization, and integration with third-party systems. - Proficiency in SQL, data analysis, and reporting tools. - Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex finance and system issues. - Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Preferred Skills (Nice-to-have): - Knowledge of cloud finance solutions (SAP S/4HANA, Oracle Fusion, Workday, etc.). - Experience in automation tools (RPA, workflow automation). - Exposure to finance analytics, dashboards, and BI tools (Power BI, Tableau). - Professional certification (CA, CPA, CFA, or ERP certifications like SAP FI, Oracle Financials) is an advantage.
