Senior Quality Assurance Engineer - API & Playwright Testing

Role Overview : As a Senior QE Engineer, you will lead the design and implementation of robust automation frameworks to ensure the reliability of our mission-critical applications. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers and software architects, to define testing strategies that align with business goals. Your contribution will directly impact the quality of our product releases, ensuring a seamless experience for our end-users while driving efficiency in our CI/CD pipelines. Key Responsibilities : - Architect and maintain scalable automation frameworks using Playwright to ensure comprehensive UI test coverage across web platforms. - Design and execute complex API testing strategies for RESTful services to validate data integrity and system integration performance. - Collaborate with development teams to integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines, reducing manual intervention and accelerating release cycles. - Conduct deep-dive root cause analysis on production issues to prevent regressions and improve overall system stability. - Mentor junior team members on best practices in automation, code quality, and test-driven development methodologies to elevate the team's technical proficiency. Required Skillset : - Demonstrated expertise in building automation frameworks from scratch using Playwright and Python. - Proven ability to design and implement comprehensive test suites for REST APIs, ensuring high reliability in microservices architectures. - Strong understanding of software testing lifecycles, including test planning, execution, and defect management in an agile environment. - Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate technical challenges and solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. - Ability to thrive in a hybrid work environment, coordinating effectively with distributed teams across Bangalore, Hyderabad, or Chennai. - A minimum of 8 to 12 years of professional experience in quality engineering, with a focus on modern automation tools and scripting languages.
