About the role

As a Data Analyst with Financial Services experience, your role will involve defining and obtaining source data to deliver insights and use cases effectively. You will be responsible for determining data mapping required to join multiple data sets across various sources and creating methods to highlight and report data inconsistencies for user review and feedback. Additionally, you will propose suitable data migration sets to relevant stakeholders and assist in processing these sets as needed. Your responsibilities also include assisting in planning, tracking, and coordinating the data migration team, along with the migration run-book and scope for each customer. Key Responsibilities: - Define and obtain source data for insights and use cases - Determine data mapping to join multiple data sets from different sources - Create methods to highlight and report data inconsistencies for user feedback - Propose data migration sets to stakeholders - Assist teams in processing data migration sets - Assist in planning, tracking, and coordinating the data migration team Qualifications Required: - Strong Data Analyst with Financial Services experience - Knowledge and experience using data models and data dictionaries in Banking and Financial Markets - Knowledge of domains such as Party/Client, Trade, Settlements, Payments, Instrument and pricing, Market and/or Credit Risk - Continual desire to implement strategic solutions and avoid workarounds - Good understanding of control requirements surrounding data handling In addition to the above, you must have: - Excellent analytical skills and commercial acumen - Minimum 4+ years of experience with Python and Pyspark - Experience in big data programs - Strong verbal and written communication skills - Strong self-starter with change delivery skills - Ability to manage multiple priorities - Business analysis skills - Ability to write SQL queries and navigate databases - Enthusiastic problem solver with knowledge of SDLC and Agile processes - Attention to detail Good to have: - Knowledge and experience in Data Quality Governance - Working experience using Scala or Java for Spark Please note that knowledge of Spark Scala is beneficial, and experience in using Scala (preferable) or Java for Spark would be an added advantage.
