Role & responsibilities GCP Devops- Location - PAN India A senior engineer with deep hands-on experience across open-source development stacks, cloud-native architecture using Google Cloud services and strong capability in driving automation, observability, and platform excellence. Key responsibilities Embed within product teams to accelerate adoption of modern engineering practices. Enable teams to improve delivery speed, quality, and developer productivity without owning delivery outcomes. Introduce and uplift CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and DevOps practices within teams. Work hands on alongside engineers to demonstrate modern engineering, DevOps, and automation practices. Coach and mentor engineers through pairing, reviews, and practical examples, not directive delivery. Identify delivery bottlenecks, manual processes, and inefficiencies; guide teams to remove them. Support adoption of modern tooling, platforms, and frameworks with minimal disruption to delivery. Promote consistent engineering practices across teams while respecting team autonomy. Enable automation across build, test, deploy, infrastructure, security, and observability. Act as a change catalyst, influencing behaviours, practices, and ways of working through enablement. Measure and communicate improvements in engineering quality, automation, and delivery flow. Step in hands on only to accelerate learning and adoption, not to take over delivery work. Collaborate with architects and product teams to design robust and future-ready solutions Lead the path for introducing AI / GenAI tooling for driving adoption across each phase of SDLC (analysis, design, development, testing and deployment) Experience 8+ years of software engineering experience, including recent work in a lead engineer capacity Strong back-end development experience using Spring Boot and microservices patterns Front-end development exposure with frameworks like React or Angular (nice to have) Experience with Google Cloud core services (e.g., GKE, Cloud Run, Pub/Sub, BigQuery, IAM) Worked in enterprise transformation programs involving both legacy and modern tech stacks Contributions to open-source or engineering communities Drive automation across the SDLC using CI/CD pipelines, GitOps, and modern DevSecOps workflows (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions) Champion engineering excellence, clean code practices, observability, and shift-left security Interested candidates can share their resume on deepika.ashodiya@capgemini.com Preferred candidate profile Perks and benefits
