About the role
As an Automation Test Engineer at our company, you will play a crucial role in designing and implementing robust test automation frameworks for both UI and API testing, ensuring high-quality software delivery in Agile environments. Your responsibilities will include: - Proficiently automating web applications using Selenium WebDriver. - Demonstrating hands-on experience in writing feature files and step definitions using Gherkin syntax with Cucumber (BDD). - Utilizing strong knowledge of API testing using REST Assured with Java. - Having a solid understanding of Java programming for developing test scripts. - Experience in test execution and reporting with TestNG/JUnit. - Familiarity with build tools like Maven/Gradle for managing dependencies and test execution. Your profile will involve tasks like designing and maintaining scalable automation frameworks for UI and API testing, collaborating with developers, QA, and product teams to define test strategies, writing and executing automated test cases using BDD principles, analyzing test results, logging defects, and ensuring timely resolution. Additionally, you will continuously strive to improve test coverage and automation efficiency. Moreover, you should have experience integrating tests with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar pipelines, proficient in Git for version control, exposure to reporting tools like Allure, Extent Reports, or similar for test reporting, basic SQL knowledge for database testing, and understanding of Agile/Scrum practices.
