Bengaluru, KA, India (On-site) Contract (6 months 1 day) Published 1 year ago Point of Sale testing Manual Testing Selenium & Java Automation Testing Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Software Testing Professional with expertise in Retail Point of Sale (POS) systems and test automation using Selenium. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in functional testing, test automation, and a deep understanding of retail POS workflows. This role involves ensuring the quality and reliability of software applications through manual and automated testing methodologies. Key Responsibilities: - Conduct end-to-end functional testing of Retail POS systems to ensure they meet business requirements and user expectations for mobile and desktop solutions. - Validate POS functionalities such as sales transactions, inventory management, payment processing, returns, and reporting. - Identify, document, and track software defects using issue-tracking tools like JIRA or similar platforms. - Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using Selenium WebDriver for regression and functional testing. - Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to ensure continuous testing and delivery. - Collaborate with development teams to identify test scenarios and automate repetitive testing tasks. - Create detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on functional specifications and user stories. - Document test results and provide comprehensive reports to stakeholders. - Ensure traceability between test cases and business requirements. - Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, business analysts, and product owners, to understand requirements and ensure quality deliverables. - Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives. Qualifications: - Bachelors degree in engineering or a related field. - 3+ years of experience in software testing, with a focus on Retail POS systems. - Strong knowledge of Selenium WebDriver and test automation frameworks (e.g., TestNG, JUnit, Cucumber BDD). - Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or C# for test automation. - Experience with API testing tools like Postman or SOAPUI is a plus. - Familiarity with version control systems like Git and CI/CD tools like Jenkins. - Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. - Strong communication and collaboration skills. Preferred Skills: - Knowledge of database testing and SQL queries. - Familiarity with retail industry standards and compliance requirements. Work Location - Bangalore (WFO) .
