About the role
Role & responsibilities Should have headed following function 1) Manufacturing engineering / Industrial Engineering 2) Process Engineering 3) NPD 4) Projects / Program management 5) New Machine Building 6) Tool room 7) Capex 8) Business & Plant Operational Excellence Process engineering support existing project to improve cost, quality and delivery through continuous improvement projects. Standardize manufacturing processes across all the plants in India. Lead companywide deployment of Low cost automations, Robotics, Industry 4.0 projects and Design and development of Special purpose machines for new projects Develop and manage operational budget for Special Purpose machine department and Manufacturing Engineering. Estimates, budgets and controls costs for all departmental project activities such that the projects completed within budget Developing manufacturing strategy for new products. Capital equipment selection, procurement installation and commissioning. Program Management Estimates, budgets and controls costs for all project activities such that the project is completed within budget. Identifies competencies and personnel needed to complete projects. Leads, motivates, and inspires project teams. Identify, evaluate, mitigate and control risk factors that might affect projects. Employ recognized techniques to ensure that negative impact of risk factors is minimal. Works with customers to define acceptable quality levels based on recognized quality standards. Reports on projects during project status updates. Acts as the primary point of contact for the Engineering Center and Hydraulics Operations worldwide for product launches. Serve as primary interface with both internal and external customers as needed to meet project time, scope and cost requirements. Provide leadership to project personnel such that they become high-performance teams. Holds project team members accountable for their deliverables and actions. Productivity Enhancement: Increased HC gear productivity by 15% through benchmarking and best practices adoption. FTQ Improvement: Improved FTQ by 100% by implementing back-to-basics and standardization technique. Cost Reduction: Achieved a cost reduction of 42 INR per CPC in Banjo products by design modifications and VAVE techniques. Digital Transformation: Implemented Industry 4.0 and IoT on critical equipment, ensuring advanced condition monitoring and improving overall equipment efficiency. Preferred candidate profile BE /ME Mech / Production with 18-25 yrs experience of in Manucaturing engineerng prefeably from Gear / Transmission / Axle industry . Perks and benefits
