About the role
We are looking for a VP of Engineering / Chief Technology Officer (CTO) for our client. JOB DESCRIPTION FOR VP OF ENGINEERING / CTO Job Title: VP of Engineering / Chief Technology Officer (CTO) Education: Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. MBA is an added advantage. Experience: 15+ Years (with at least 8+ years in Engineering Leadership) Skill Set: Proven experience leading large Engineering and Technology teams Strong expertise in Software Architecture and System Design Experience building and scaling cloud-native applications Strong knowledge of Microservices Architecture Hands-on experience with AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Experience with DevOps, CI/CD, Docker, and Kubernetes Strong understanding of AI/ML and Generative AI technologies is an advantage Experience managing Engineering Managers, Technical Leads, and cross-functional teams Expertise in Agile, Scrum, and modern Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) Strong stakeholder management and strategic planning skills Excellent communication, leadership, and people management abilities Experience driving engineering best practices, innovation, and operational excellence Preferred Skills: SaaS Product Development Enterprise Software Architecture Cybersecurity and Compliance Data Engineering and Analytics AI/ML Strategy FinOps and Cloud Cost Optimization Infrastructure Automation Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) Product Management Collaboration Digital Transformation Initiatives Roles & Responsibilities: Define and execute the organization's overall technology vision and engineering strategy. Lead and mentor Engineering Managers, Technical Leads, Architects, and Software Engineers. Build, scale, and manage high-performing engineering teams. Drive architecture decisions to ensure scalable, secure, and reliable technology platforms. Collaborate with Product, Business, and Executive Leadership to align technology initiatives with business objectives. Oversee software development, infrastructure, cloud operations, DevOps, security, and platform engineering. Establish engineering standards, coding best practices, and quality assurance processes. Drive innovation by evaluating and implementing emerging technologies, including AI and Generative AI where applicable. Ensure timely delivery of products while maintaining high quality, performance, and security standards. Manage engineering budgets, resource planning, vendor relationships, and technology investments. Foster a culture of continuous learning, collaboration, and operational excellence.
