Java Backend Developer

Roles & Responsibilities: Design, build, and maintain backend services using Java 20+ and Spring Boot for scalable applications.Develop clean, secure, versioned REST APIs for web, mobile, admin, partner, and AI systems.Review and improve Spring Boot application structure, dependency versions, embedded Tomcat configuration, startup behaviour, memory usage, and runtime performance.Investigate production issues across services, APIs, databases, queues, and cloud infrastructure to ensure platform stability.Work with MongoDB, PostgreSQL/MySQL, Redis, and Elasticsearch to optimize queries, indexes, schema design, and data access patterns.Support containerised deployments using Docker and Kubernetes in AWS-backed backend environments.Build secure backend services using Spring Security, OAuth2, JWT, SSO, and role-based access control.Improve backend logging, metrics, alerts, tracing, and health dashboards for better observability and monitoring.Review pull requests and raise engineering quality across the team while mentoring junior and mid-level developers.Create clear root-cause analysis for recurring backend failures and help define backend release standards.Experience Required: 5+ years backend engineering experience with strong Java experience. 4+ years hands-on Spring Boot experience. Strong experience with Java 17/21+, Spring ecosystem, microservices architecture, and production cloud platforms preferably AWS. Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field from a recognised university. Master's degree (M.Tech/MS/MCA) in a relevant field is a plus but not required.
