About the role
Key Skills: Core Java, J2EE, Spring Core, Spring Batch, SQL, PL/SQL, Design Patterns, Maven, Eclipse, Microservices Good to Have Skills: Threading, Collections, Synchronization, Locking, Annotations, Generics, Ant build scripts, ETL/ELT concepts, data warehousing, NoSQL databases like MongoDB, Cloud technologies, Caching Frameworks, IOC framework like Juice, Test-driven development, experience with Caches (GemFire/Redis/Hazelcast), AI co-pilot tools for development, Unix Shell Scripting. Roles & Responsibilities: Keep applications lean, resilient, robust, self-healing, and scalable for optimal performance.Take ownership of all applications in the assigned sub-domain within Risk Technology.Interact with Business users and Business Analysts to understand requirements and specifications.Ensure complete understanding of application code through compilation, code walkthrough, execution flow, and overall design.Perform local compilation, deployment, and behavior/Unit testing to ensure code quality.Identify areas for code changes to meet required functionalities and maintain traceability.Participate in design review, code review, and project review meetings with local and global teams.Conduct hands-on development using required IDEs, related plugins, and SQL client tools.Support Unit testing, Integration testing, UAT/SIT activities throughout the development lifecycle.Manage Code check-ins, check-outs, merges, and build management processes effectively.Maintain technical thought leadership and disseminate knowledge to the team and peers.Bring excellence in behavioral, technical, and architectural leadership in collaboration with global teams.Experience Required: Minimum 8+ years of extensive development experience in designing and building applications. Candidates with 12+ years of experience with passion for coding and systems development preferred. A substantial part of experience should be in top-notch investment banks/banks and product companies.
