SAP BTP Administrator

The SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) Administrator is responsible for the administration, security, availability, and operational management of SAP BTP across the enterprise landscape. This role ensures that SAP BTP services are securely configured, reliably operated, and aligned with organizational governance standards to support SAP and non-SAP integrations, application extensions, and innovation initiatives. The SAP BTP Administrator is also responsible for managing third-party IT consultants based out of Carmeuse India who report to the Carmeuse IT Digital Finance, Procurement, and Supply Chain functions. This role is expected to evolve into a broader managerial position as additional employees are hired in the Carmeuse India offices.

Key Responsibilities • Administer SAP BTP Global Accounts, Directories, Subaccounts, and environments (Cloud Foundry). • Manage entitlements, quotas, and service plans across development, quality, and production landscapes. • Configure and maintain user access, role collections, and authorizations using SAP BTP Cockpit. • Integrate SAP BTP with enterprise identity providers using SAP Identity Authentication Service (IAS) and Identity Provisioning Service (IPS). • Configure and support secure connectivity using SAP Cloud Connector and Destinations for SAP and non-SAP systems. • Support SAP Integration Suite, API Management, Event Mesh, and related BTP services. • Monitor platform health, logs, audit trails, and alerts; troubleshoot entitlement, quota, connectivity, and security issues. • Track BTP consumption and licensing (CPEA / PAYG) and support cost governance initiatives. • Collaborate with SAP Basis, Integration, Architecture, Security, and Development teams. • Maintain technical documentation and follow SAP best practices. • Lead and coordinate third-party IT consultants based in Carmeuse India, including work assignment, priority setting, and day-to-day oversight across Digital Finance, Procurement, and Supply Chain support activities. • Monitor consultant deliverables, service quality, and adherence to Carmeuse standards, ensuring timely resolution of incidents, requests, and enhancement activities. • Ensure appropriate governance, documentation, and knowledge transfer from third-party consultants to internal teams, and provide regular status updates, risks, and performance feedback to Carmeuse leadership. QUALIFICATIONS: Required • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field. • 10-12+ years of experience in SAP Basis, SAP Cloud Platform, or SAP BTP administration. • Hands-on experience with SAP BTP Cockpit, entitlements, subaccounts, and role collections. • Strong understanding of cloud security, networking, and enterprise integration principles. • Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills. Preferred • Experience with SAP Integration Suite, API Management, SAP Build, or SAP Work Zone. • Knowledge of SAP S/4HANA Cloud, RISE with SAP, or hybrid SAP environments. • Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and automation scripting. • SAP BTP or SAP Technology certifications are a plus.
