User Experience Designer

Role Overview: You will be joining CAST as a talented designer with a focus on user empathy, big picture thinking, and strong design craftsmanship. Your role will involve collaborating with UX researchers, product managers, and engineers to drive design from concept to final implementation. Key Responsibilities: - Generate ideas collaboratively with fellow designers, product managers, and developers, ranging from foundational concepts to small UI interactions. - Bring a user-centric focus to brainstorming sessions. - Transform initial concepts and mock-ups into complete end-to-end experiences within the product. - Iterate quickly on concepts to bring them to life. - Develop and maintain design systems that are easy to understand and facilitate scalability. - Conduct user research and usability testing to identify key problems and validate design changes. - Engage in critiquing and iterating on design ideas with team members, while also being open to feedback. - Collaborate on developing a visual language that is consistent and clear across different platforms. - Incorporate interaction details that enhance the usability and enjoyment of using the product. - Contribute to creating a customer-focused culture within the organization through design thinking. - Showcase your design proficiency through a portfolio demonstrating the translation of research insights into excellent product experiences. Qualifications: - Possess 4+ years of experience in shipping products within a product/software environment. - Demonstrate a passion for design with strong interaction and visual design skills. - Show proven experience in creatively solving complex design problems across multidisciplinary groups and meeting deadlines. - Apply a user-centric approach to design, integrating research insights into product development. - Exhibit demonstrable User Interface and User Experience design skills with a strong portfolio. - Have solid experience in creating wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows, and site maps. - Proficient in tools such as Figma, Invision, Sketch, Adobe XD, Illustrator, or other visual design and wireframing tools. - Possess expertise in responsive web design and knowledge of HTML and CSS. - Familiarity with material design guidelines would be advantageous.
