As a Lead Backend Engineer Enterprise Java Applications (Senior Software Engineer) in the Informatics & Connected Worksite - CAT IT Team, you will play a crucial role in shaping the world by developing high-quality software solutions and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive innovation. Key Responsibilities: - Perform development assignments and programming tasks. - Work on complex projects, application systems, and infrastructure components. - Independently or alongside a team, work on business features with a focus on maintaining high-quality software standards. - Collaborate with engineers and other departments to deliver digital solutions that meet business objectives. - Develop detailed software design deliverables to address business problems effectively. - Lead the evaluation and deployment of new technologies to enhance existing technical capabilities. - Mentor and guide junior engineers in creating structured application/interface code and documentation. - Stay updated on the latest trends and advancements in IT development. Qualifications Required: - 8+ years of experience in Web application development in AWS Cloud using Java tech stack. - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science & Engineering / IT / Electronics Engineering. - Strong foundational knowledge in Java 17+, Spring Boot, Microservices, and Cloud. - Proficiency in SOLID design principles, clean coding, and agile development methodologies. - Solid understanding of MySQL/RDBMS database, TDD/BDD based development using Junit testing, and developing RESTful APIs. - Experience in performance optimization, Cloud Services (AWS, Azure), and deploying software using CI/CD tools. - Familiarity with Spring Security & OAuth. - Willingness to work in EAME Shift (1 PM to 10 PM IST) and in the office five days a week.
