We are seeking a skilled Senior Data Specialist to join our FOM Data Analytics and AI -CAT IT Division The preference for this role is to be based out of Chennai - Brigade World Trade Centre What you will do The incumbent would employ data analytics to assess an organization's technical performance and makes system enhancement recommendations. Responsibilities Ensure data onboarding activities in data platform comply with data governance, security, and privacy policies.Perform data profiling to assess structure, completeness, and anomalies.Collaborate with Data Architects and Data Engineers to align on data models, ingestion pipelines, and storage strategies.Document onboarding workflows, dependencies, and known data quality issues.Identify and log data quality issues, ensuring proper tracking, triage, and resolution.Work with business teams to validate data correctness and usability.Analyzing customer requirements based on the understanding of conformed models and catering solutions that are implementable and maintainable.Discerning data accuracies in large sets of data of diverse formatsResearching, designing, and documenting data specifications at all points in the production life cycle.Understanding software development and web technologies and having proficiency in SQL and other data programming languages. What you will have Strong SQL proficiency and experience with data queryingKnowledge of ETL/ELT tools and data pipeline frameworksUnderstanding of cloud platforms (AWS preferred)Experience in data modeling and schema designFamiliarity with data cataloging and governance toolsFamiliarity with manufacturing data sources including ERP, MES, IoT/machine data, and quality systems.Ability to interpret and analyze operational KPIs such as OEE, cycle time, lead time, and inventory turns.This position requires candidate to work a 5-day -a -week schedule in the office Skills desired: Value Realization: Knowledge of value realization methods; ability to plan, execute, monitor and manage business activities and resources to determine and achieve the actual value from a business initiative as estimated in an associated business case.
