About the role
Position Title: Process Quality Engineer (PQE) Department: Quality Assurance Reporting To: Quality Manager Location: Cochin, Kerala 1. Purpose of the Role To ensure product and process quality in EMS manufacturing through effective quality control systems, process monitoring, customer complaint handling, root cause analysis, continuous improvement activities, and compliance with customer, ISO 9001, and IATF 16949 requirements. 2. Key Responsibilities Monitor and control manufacturing process quality.Ensure adherence to SOPs, Control Plans, WI, and quality standards.Review inspection standards and acceptance criteria.Conduct in-process audits and line inspections.Monitor process capability and process discipline.Drive defect reduction and process improvement activities.Lead root cause analysis of external and internal failures using problem solving tools.Effectiveness monitoring of CAPAMonitor FPY, PPM, RMA, and defect trends.Lead Kaizen and continuous improvement initiativesCOPQ monitoring & reduction 3. Key performance indicators Customer PPMInternal rejection rateFirst Pass Yield (FPY)Complaint closure lead timeCOPQ reductionAudit findings closureRework and scrap reductionLine defect trend improvement 4. Educational Qualification Bachelor's Degree / Diploma in Electronics Engineering / Electrical Engineering 5.Experience 8 to 10 year experience in process quality domain preferred from,EMS manufacturingSMT processesPCB assemblyAutomotive electronicsConsumer electronics 6. Required Skills Technical Skills o Knowledge of SMT & PCB assembly processes o IPC-A-610 knowledge o GD&T basics o SPC, MSA, FMEA, Control Plan o Quality tools and statistical techniques 7. Preferred Certifications Internal Auditor IATF 16949Six Sigma Green BeltIPC Certification 8.
