Roles Responsibilities: Lead, coach and develop Engineering Managers, Chapter Leads, and engineers. Drive performance, career development, succession planning, and engagement. Foster a culture of psychological safety, accountability, continuous improvement, and engineering excellence. Build and maintain diverse, high-performing teams. Set technical direction and engineering standards. Ensure high-quality software, platform reliability, security, observability, and operational excellence. Guide architectural decisions and resolution of complex technical challenges. Promote automation, engineering productivity, and reduction of technical debt. Own delivery outcomes across multiple teams or domains. Align engineering priorities with business strategy and customer outcomes. Manage risks, dependencies, and operational resilience. Drive predictable execution and continuous improvement of engineering practices. Partner with Product Owners, business leaders, architects, risk teams, and executive stakeholders. Communicate strategy, priorities, risks, and delivery progress effectively. Influence decisions across organisational boundaries.
