About the role
Job Purpose: Essential Functions: - Lead the design and implementation of network security solutions using Palo Alto, F5, Cisco, and Netscout technologies. - Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the Network Security Engineering team. - Collaborate with other IT leaders to develop and implement security strategies and policies. - Conduct security audits and vulnerability assessments to identify and mitigate risks. - Monitor network traffic for security breaches and respond to security incidents as needed. - Maintain documentation of security policies, procedures, and configurations. - Keep up to date with the latest security trends and technologies. - Develop and maintain relationships with security vendors and service providers. Education: Four years of College resulting in a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent Certifications, Accreditations, Licenses: Industry certifications such as CISSP, CCNA Security, or CCNP Security Relevant Work Experience: 7 to 10 years' experience in a related field. Special Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: - Strong experience with F5, Palo Alto, Cisco, and Netscout technologies. - Experience with firewall administration, intrusion detection and prevention, and VPN technologies. - Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, routing, switching, and other networking protocols. - Experience with cloud security technologies such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. - Experience with RADIUS - Experience with NAC security framework. - Experience with Authentication technologies including Multi-Factor Authentication, PKI, SSO. - Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Perl, or Bash. - Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team. - Proven ability to provide technical leadership and mentor team members/peers. Supervisory Responsibility: This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities. Work Workplace: This position is performed in an office enviromet or remotely. .
