Role Overview: - Develop and implement basic to moderately complex GIS products and applications. - Support geospatial application configuration and integration, deployment of GIS datasets with 3rd party applications. - Provide quality control oversight of GIS products and services developed by more junior staff. - Stay updated on new technologies, tools, and methods to expand the business in GIS. - Conduct GIS Data Development and Analysis, including reviewing data sources, supporting GIS data development activities, and recommending approaches for geodatabase design. Key Responsibilities: - Conduct GIS analysis to support clients and projects, including generating geospatial statistics, 3D and spatial analysis, and temporal analysis. - Lead technical aspects of GIS needs assessments and consulting activities. - Support application development activities through requirements analysis, application specification, and basic application configuration. - Conceptualize and design databases of basic to high complexity, integrating spatial data and detailed data models with 3rd party applications. - Develop GIS-based system architecture plans, including recommendations for GIS, hardware, software, and geodatabase design. - Provide technical guidance and training to more junior staff. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's and Master's degree in Geoinformatics, Geography, Environment, Geology, Computer Science, or related fields. - Minimum of 15+ years of progressively responsible experience in applying GIS technology. - Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office software suite. - Certified GIS Professional (GISP) status or equivalent certification. - Prior leadership experience promoting a culture of collaboration, quality, and leading by example. The company may require drug testing for designated positions and may conduct additional background checks during employment. This is a full-time regular position with the possibility of local travel.
