Role Overview: Join the team at CDM Smith as an Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning Engineer in the Digital Engineering Solutions team. You will be a part of the Data & AI Technology group, focusing on supporting Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) initiatives using modern AI/ML technologies. Your role will involve delivering intelligent solutions and business insights for AEC professionals and client outcomes. Collaborate with a passionate team to make a difference and change the world through innovative solutions. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and deploy machine learning models and AI solutions for addressing business challenges, particularly within the AEC domain. - Build scalable AI/ML pipelines including data preprocessing, feature engineering, model training, validation, deployment, and monitoring. - Collaborate with Data Engineers, Data Scientists, and Analytics Engineers to support end-to-end AI/ML solutions. - Ensure reliability, maintainability, and scalability of deployed models, optimizing their performance in production environments. - Create APIs or microservices for integrating AI/ML models into digital solutions. - Support MLOps practices including model versioning, automated pipelines, and monitoring. - Apply modern machine learning techniques like natural language processing, computer vision, and predictive analytics to relevant use cases. - Uphold data privacy, security, and ethical AI standards throughout the lifecycle of AI/ML solutions. - Stay updated on the latest developments in AI/ML, emerging technologies, and best practices that could impact CDM Smith. - Assist in developing documentation, standards, best practices, and workflows for AI/ML technologies used across the business. - Perform any other duties as required. Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree required with 3 years of related experience. Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a college degree. - Domestic and/or international travel may be required based on specific duties and responsibilities. Skills and Abilities: - Experience with frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Scikit-learn for building and deploying machine learning models. - Proficiency in Python or R programming languages and familiarity with machine learning libraries and tools. - Understanding of MLOps practices including model lifecycle management, monitoring, and versioning. - Knowledge of distributed computing frameworks like Apache Spark. - Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills with attention to detail. - Excellent communication skills for collaborating with technical teams and stakeholders. - Passion for innovation and pushing boundaries in a dynamic environment. Preferred Qualifications: - Experience deploying production AI/ML solutions in cloud environments. - Experience supporting AI/ML capabilities used in enterprise analytics or digital engineering solutions. - Familiarity with Databricks or modern AI/ML platforms.
