Structural Engineer 4 (Bridges)

Role Overview: As a member of the team at CDM Smith, you will play a crucial role in contributing to the company's mission. Your responsibilities will include designing both simple and complex roadway bridges, transportation-related structures, and working closely with the drafting team. Additionally, you will be involved in structural analysis, bridge load ratings, and knowledge sharing within the team. Key Responsibilities: - Design simple and complex roadway bridges, culverts, and retaining walls - Collaborate with the drafting team to develop structural plans - Prepare structural analysis and design reports - Conduct bridge load ratings - Independently review structural analysis and design of various transportation structures - Exchange knowledge and skills with the team Qualifications Required: - Post Graduation in Structural Engineering - Good communication skills with fluency in English - 6-10 years of experience in the analysis and design of various structures - Thorough knowledge of AASHTO, British, and Euro standards - Experience in designing reinforced concrete, structural steel, and pre-stressed concrete bridges - Worked on projects in the Middle East and US - Familiarity with AASHTO LRFD bridge design methods - Proficiency in seismic design of bridge structures - Hands-on experience in structural steel member and connection design - Knowledge of shoring design, assessment of bridge rating, and design of miscellaneous structures - Software exposure to Staad Pro, Midas Civil, CSI Bridges, SAP, and ETABS Additional Company Details: CDM Smith is committed to providing an exceptional employee experience and offers a challenging, progressive, and inclusive work environment.
