About the role
Field Service Engineer - Basic Statement of Position Client is seeking a highly professional customer focused Field Service Engineer to join our Support & Training team. The successful candidate will live in the Boston, MA area and serve as a support and training engineer for our clients in the Americas. He/She will provide our new and existing customers comprehensive training of the Client imaging products line. He/She will be responsible for providing prompt support to our users, while achieving the highest possible level of customer satisfaction. He/She will maintain a high level of technical expertise in all aspects of the Client products, including the biological, computerized and optical features of our products. Essential Duties and Responsibilities · Installation of Client systems at customers sites · Training of new users to successfully operate the Client systems & software · Demonstrating Client systems and applications · Provide remote and on-site support to Client customers by installing, fine-tuning, and maintaining Client systems and applications. The position requires diagnosing and resolving mechanical, hardware, software, and system failures You will document all activities, contribute to quality improvement, and focus on maximizing customer satisfaction Frequent travel required, 60-70% of the time, mostly within the US & Canada, but may be to other regions on the globe Requirements Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in life science, biomed, or a technical field Familiarity with Microscopy, Cytogenetics, Fluorescence In-situ Hybridization (FISH), Cell Morphology, and Immunostaining analysis is an advantage. Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills. Problem solver with good technical aptitude and troubleshooting skills Ability to understand computer algorithms and to tune parameters.
