Azure Data Engineer Job Overview We are seeking an Azure Data Engineer with 3+ years of hands-on experience in data engineering, specializing in designing, building, and managing scalable data solutions and analytics platforms on Azure. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Azure data services, enabling them to transform raw data into actionable insights while ensuring data governance, performance optimization, and alignment with business objectives. Key Responsibilities Data Solution Architecture Design and implement end-to-end Azure data solutions aligned with business and organizational goals, including data pipelines, data warehouses, and reporting frameworks. Develop and maintain scalable data models (star and snowflake schemas) to support advanced analytics and enterprise reporting. Data Engineering & Cloud Expertise Build, maintain, and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines for efficient data ingestion, transformation, and storage on Azure. Work extensively with Azure data services and modern data platforms such as Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, and Databricks. Ensure data accuracy, integrity, security, and compliance across enterprise data systems. Implement CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and alerting for reliable and production- ready data workflows. Stakeholder Collaboration Partner with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate business needs into scalable technical solutions. Enable and educate non-technical stakeholders on data consumption, self-service analytics, and best practices. Performance Optimization & Best Practices Continuously monitor and optimize data platforms for performance, scalability, and cost efficiency. Identify and resolve bottlenecks in data pipelines, queries, and dashboards. Promote and enforce best practices in data engineering, data quality, and visualization. Required Skills Technical Skills Strong expertise in SQL, Spark SQL, Python, PySpark, and ETL/ELT frameworks. Hands-on experience in data modeling and data warehousing concepts, including relational and dimensional models. Proficiency with Azure cloud services and modern data engineering tools. Soft Skills Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills to address complex data challenges. Leadership experience in guiding teams and delivering data and BI initiatives end-to- end. Preferred Certifications - Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate (DP- 900)
