About the role

We are seeking a ‘Business & Functional Analyst - Senior’ to support the analysis, documentation, modelling, and implementation of business and functional requirements within complex information systems and regulated market processes. The role operates within defined architectural, security, and governance frameworks. The Senior Analyst contributes to the execution of analysis, problem resolution, and change implementation activities, ensuring that requirements, changes, and solutions are documented, validated, and implemented in accordance with defined standards and controlled processes. Key Responsibilities Business & Functional Analysis - Analyze business processes and operational needs within information systems - Assess the impact of changes on existing systems and processes - Collect, document, structure, and model business and functional requirements - Translate business needs into functional specifications - Ensure alignment of requirements with business, data, and integration architecture principles Problem & Change Management - Analyze incidents, problems, and system or process deviations - Perform root cause analyses - Translate identified problems into concrete change proposals - Define and document acceptance criteria for changes - Support coordination, follow-up, and validation of implemented changes - Help prevent recurring issues Change Coordination & Stakeholder Interaction - Identify and engage relevant stakeholders (business, IT, external parties) - Support coordination and follow-up of changes across involved parties - Facilitate stakeholder alignment within the assigned scope - Provide documentation related to changes Architecture, Security & Compliance Support - Ensure requirements and changes comply with defined architectural principles - Integrate security and privacy requirements into functional analysis - Apply defined development and change processes - Support compliance with testing and validation requirements Quality & Transition Support - Define acceptance criteria and validation activities - Participate in testing and release preparation - Produce documentation and knowledge transfer materials - Assist with the transition from project delivery to operations Required Skills & Experience Domain expertise (Energy Sector) - Preferable 5 years of professional experience in the Belgian energy sector - Experience working in environments involving energy-related systems and processes - Understanding of operational contexts within the energy sector through practical experience Business & Functional Analysis Experience - Minimum 5 years of experience collecting, documenting, and modelling requirements - Experience analyzing business processes and system interactions Problem & Change Management Experience - Minimum 5 years of experience performing root cause analysis - Minimum 5 years of experience translating problems into concrete changes - Experience defining acceptance criteria and supporting change implementation Stakeholder & Change Coordination Experience - Minimum 5 years of experience coordinating and following up changes - Experience managing stakeholder relationships and priorities Architecture, Security & Compliance Awareness - Awareness of business, data, and integration architecture principles - Understanding of security and secure development requirements - Ability to incorporate compliance requirements into analysis Education & Background - Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (or equivalent experience) - Minimum 5 years of experience as Business / Functional / Problem & Change Analyst role Languages - Dutch and/or French: minimum C1 level - Second national language: minimum B2 level - English: minimum B2 level Certifications - Minimum 1 relevant certification (e.g. ITIL, Agile, Prince2, BPMN) Why CGI?
