Role & responsibilities Backend (Python FastAPI) Look for clean API design with Pydantic models, proper use of dependency injection, and solid understanding of async/await patterns. They should know how to structure middleware, handle auth (JWT/OAuth2), and write APIs that are production-grade not just functional. Familiarity with background tasks and rate limiting is a plus. AWS services particulalrly SQS SNS lambda step function Glue cloud watch Database (PostgreSQL) Beyond basic CRUD, they should understand schema design, indexing strategies, and query optimization (EXPLAIN ANALYZE, CTEs, window functions). Experience with Alembic migrations and SQLAlchemy (ideally async) is expected. Connection pooling and transaction isolation should be things they've worked with, not just read about.
