Senior Software Engineer - Frontend

At CGI, we are looking for a Senior Software Engineer - Frontend to join an international project. Requirements: - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems or a related field. - Conversational English level B2 or higher. - 6+ years of experience as a Frontend Software Engineer or in related technical roles. - React.js development experience. - Strong JavaScript expertise, including ES6+ features and asynchronous programming (Promises, Async/Await). - Experience building modern web applications using frontend frameworks (React preferred). - GraphQL experience. - Modern CSS development skills. - Git or distributed version control experience. - Experience debugging and optimizing applications across modern browsers. - Experience developing responsive and mobile-friendly applications. - Strong understanding of frontend software engineering best practices. - Experience working in a testing-focused engineering culture. - TypeScript. - Node.js development. - Performance tuning and optimization of browser-based applications. - Cypress testing framework. - Jest testing framework. Responsibilities: - Design, develop, and maintain modern web applications using React and JavaScript. - Build responsive, scalable, and high-performance user interfaces. - Collaborate closely with Product Managers, UX/UI Designers, and Engineering teams to deliver new features and enhancements. - Develop and consume GraphQL APIs to support frontend functionality. - Optimize application performance, accessibility, and user experience across browsers and devices. - Write clean, maintainable, and testable code following engineering best practices. - Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and technical design sessions. - Build and maintain Single Page Applications (SPAs). - Debug and resolve issues across modern browsers including Chrome, Safari, and mobile browsers. - Contribute to automated testing strategies and quality assurance efforts. Nice to have: - Single Page Application (SPA) architecture experience. - Master Data Management (MDM) platform experience. - Experience with data integration frameworks and APIs. - Experience supporting modernization of legacy systems.
