Staff Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

As an Infrastructure Engineer at ChargePoint, you will play a crucial role in designing and owning the infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, observability stack, and cloud platforms that power our products. Your responsibilities will include: - Designing, building, and maintaining robust CI/CD pipelines to support rapid and high-quality software delivery across multiple teams and environments. - Automating operational tasks such as build, test, release, and deployment workflows to enhance speed and consistency. - Managing release processes, including versioning, tagging, rollback strategies, and progressive delivery. - Integrating automated testing, code quality gates, and security scanning into delivery pipelines. Furthermore, your role will encompass: - Building and managing containerized workloads using Docker and Kubernetes. - Defining standards for container image builds, registry management, security scanning, and image lifecycle. - Implementing and maintaining service mesh, ingress, and networking solutions within Kubernetes environments. - Driving adoption of Helm charts or Kustomize for consistent and repeatable Kubernetes deployments. You will also be responsible for: - Building and maintaining a comprehensive observability stack covering metrics, logs, and distributed tracing. - Defining SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets in partnership with engineering teams. - Leading incident response processes, on-call rotations, blameless post-mortems, and reliability improvements. - Proactively identifying and addressing toil, bottlenecks, and single points of failure in the platform.
