About the role
Role Overview: You will be an Associate in the Asia Pacific Regulatory Reporting team, collaborating with various teams to automate the Asia Pacific BASEL and local regulatory reporting systems. Your role involves participating in initiatives to automate regulatory changes triggered by Asia Pacific regulators, focusing on business expansion, general ledger optimization, technology modernization, and global alignment in data sourcing and consumption. Key Responsibilities: - Partner closely with Finance users, Corporate Technology, and external vendor consultants to deliver strategic regulatory reporting solutions aligned with the defined operating model for Finance users - Provide Project Management Office support by creating and delivering project communications to multiple stakeholders, running governance calls, and preparing presentation materials for committee meetings - Offer subject matter expert support in preparing business requirements and functional specifications for regulatory automation projects, including Product Validation/Proof of Concept - Act as a product owner, collaborating with Corporate Technology-scrum master and teams, and participating in design/build discussions - Develop testing approach, scope, and plan, executing system tests using automated tools, preparing test cases, building expected results, and running end-to-end tests - Identify areas of improvement and propose solutions to address project or test issues in a timely manner - Manage ongoing tactical and strategic finance platform enhancements and automation Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy, Finance, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline - Minimum of 3 years of experience, with at least 1 year in the banking industry - Minimum of 1 year of experience in Finance/Product Controller/Business Analyst/Product Owner with regulatory reporting solution implementation - Strong data analysis skills, ability to gather and validate facts, define gaps, perform impact analyses, draft business requirements, and translate complex business requirements into functional specifications - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen interest in analyzing large volumes of data sets and presenting conclusions concisely - Self-motivated with excellent time management and planning skills, capable of handling multiple assignments simultaneously in a fast-paced environment - Positive attitude, easy to work with, solution-focused, enthusiastic, and capable of challenging the status quo - Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex issues clearly Additional Details: - Good product knowledge and accounting understanding are preferred - Proficiency in using Confluence, Jira, Alteryx & Data brix, and Microsoft Excel - Knowledge and experience of industry-leading regulatory reporting vendor applications like Adenza (Axiom), WKFS, Reveleus, and ledger and system upgrade/implementation.
