Total Number of Openings 1 Job Description The High-Performance Computing (HPC) team is responsible for providing application and infrastructure solutions that support complex, compute intensive workloads, parallel filesystems, low latency networks, artificial intelligence (AI), and machine learning (ML). The successful candidate will partner with scientists, engineers, and other HPC infrastructure and application experts to provide HPC solutions that fully leverage the computing resources. Key Responsibilities Collaborate with colleagues in HPC Computing, Information Technology, Subsurface Platform, and Upstream/Downstream business units to design and deliver HPC solutions in Microsoft Azure. 8-10 years of applicable job experience Optimize and automate operations support activities. Effectively and efficiently troubleshoot and resolve system problems, including analyzing current application requirements and performance. Ensure all technical solutions are aligned with the vision, principles, architecture, and standards defined by the relevant architecture teams while ensuring information protection and data privacy. Effectively align, collaborate, and build relationships with peers, company leadership, subject matter experts and HPC system users. Required Skills: Technical Knowledge and Skills- The preferred candidate will have knowledge and experience in Linux, Cloud (preferably Microsoft Azure), and Parallel compute system administration experience in a large-scale enterprise setting plus one or more of the following areas: scripting skills (e.g. Python, shell, Ansible), HPC job scheduling systems (e.g., Slurm or PBS), parallel file systems (e.g., Lustre, Weka), and Azure VM Scale Sets. Hands-on experience with Ansible, Azure Active Directory, Microsoft Active Directory, and MS Office products.
