As an LNG Process Engineer at Chevron, you will be a part of the Process Engineering and Automation team within Chevron's ENGINE Center. Your primary responsibility will be to provide process engineering support to Chevron's business units with Liquified Natural Gas (LNG) operations. This includes troubleshooting and optimizing existing operating assets, providing process design support to capital projects, and developing and implementing digital tools to enhance process monitoring. Key Responsibilities: - Provide timely technical service consultation to LNG operating assets and capital project teams - Review and improve designs for operability, reliability, and ease of maintenance - Support early phase project design execution by developing process documents such as heat and material balances and process datasheets - Develop and maintain detailed process simulation models to evaluate design and operating scenarios (e.g., Hysys) - Support day-to-day operations by providing engineering analysis and process troubleshooting utilizing data analytics and process monitoring tools (e.g., PI, Seeq) - Participate in on-the-job training/development opportunities through mentoring with Chevron's Technical Center (CTC) counterparts Qualifications Required: - Experience with wide-ranging LNG technologies such as Air Products and Chemical's Propane Precooled Mixed Refrigerant Process (APCI C3/MR), ConocoPhillips Optimized Cascade Process, Chart IPSMR, etc. - Bachelor's degree (B.E./B. Tech) in chemical engineering or related field from a recognized (AICTE) university - Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact with Chevron's global employee workforce Preferred Qualifications: - 5-10+ years of process engineering experience in LNG or petrochemical process facilities - Experience in performing analytical calculations such as mass transfer, fluid flow, heat transfer, fluid dynamics, process control, kinetics, and equipment sizing - Experience with the front end of LNG plants, including Amine, Dehydration, and Mercury Removal systems - Experience in working with process monitoring tools and process modeling software, such as PI, Seeq, Hysys - Awareness of Process Safety Management concepts and principles such as Process Hazards Analysis, Alarm Objective Analysis, Integrity Operating Windows Please note that Chevron ENGINE supports global operations, and work hours for employees will be aligned to support business requirements. The standard work week will be Monday to Friday, with working hours from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm or 1:30 pm to 10:30 pm. Chevron participates in E-Verify in certain locations as required by law.
