About the role
As a Senior Production Engineer Offshore at Chevron Engineering and Innovation Excellence Center (ENGINE) in Bengaluru, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and optimal performance of offshore wells and facilities. Your responsibilities will include: - Serving as the technical lead for offshore production engineering, setting priorities to improve production reliability and integrity. - Leading advanced production surveillance for complex offshore systems by tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) and communicating insights and recommendations to regional production engineering and asset teams. - Evaluating and supporting well stimulation programs, defining candidate selection criteria, and performing post-job performance assessments. - Performing Pressure Transient Analysis (PTA) and Rate Transient Analysis (RTA) to diagnose well and reservoir performance and translate results into actionable recommendations. - Building and maintaining integrated well network and facility models to optimize production targets and support operational decisions. - Compiling and interpreting waterflood surveillance data to make optimization recommendations at field and well levels. - Partnering with Asset Development and subsurface teams to standardize production engineering workflows and share best practices. - Coaching and mentoring junior production engineers to enhance their technical skills and problem-solving abilities. - Ensuring work compliance with safety, operational integrity, and environmental requirements. Qualifications required for this role include: - Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline. - Master's degree in Petroleum Engineering or another related discipline is preferred. - 10 years of experience in production engineering. - Demonstrated experience in production surveillance, well optimization, and system diagnostics. - Working knowledge of well stimulation design and evaluation. - Knowledge in Pressure Transient Analysis (PTA) and Rate Transient Analysis (RTA) is a plus. - Understanding of well productivity analysis under flowing conditions. Additionally, you will need to meet the following selection criteria: 1. PE Functional Knowledge: Demonstrated skills in surveillance analysis and optimization, well performance management, and transient analysis. 2. Project Management: Experienced in planning and delivering work with cross-functional teams. 3. Technical Digital: Proficiency in using programming and data tools to automate workflows and accelerate analysis. 4. Teaming: Effective at partnering and mentoring across organizational boundaries to deliver results.
