Role Overview The Senior Production Engineer Offshore at Chevron Engineering and Innovation Excellence Center (ENGINE) in Bengaluru, India, is responsible for ensuring the safe and optimal performance of offshore wells and facilities. This role involves leading production surveillance, data quality assurance, and performance diagnostics to drive actionable optimization and reliability improvements. The position requires partnering with global Offshore Operations, Regional Production Engineering, Asset Development (AD), and Subsurface teams to deliver high-quality surveillance products and drive production improvement initiatives. With 1015 years of experience, the Senior Production Engineer is expected to independently execute surveillance and data workflows, diagnose complex performance issues, and recommend solutions while mentoring early career engineers. Key Responsibilities - Serve as the technical lead for offshore production engineering to improve production, reliability, and integrity across the asset life cycle. - Lead advanced production surveillance for complex offshore systems by establishing surveillance plans, tracking KPI performance, and communicating insights to regional production engineering and asset teams. - Evaluate and support well stimulation programs such as acid treatments by defining candidate selection criteria, supporting job design and execution reviews, and completing post job performance assessments. - Perform Pressure Transient Analysis (PTA) and Rate Transient Analysis (RTA) to diagnose well/reservoir performance and translate results into recommendations using automation and analytics tools. - Build, calibrate, and maintain integrated well, network, and facility models to optimize production targets and support decision-making. - Interpret waterflood surveillance data and translate findings into optimization recommendations. - Partner with Asset Development and subsurface teams to standardize production engineering workflows and share best practices. - Coach and mentor ENGINE production engineers through technical reviews and problem-solving support. - Ensure work complies with safety, operational integrity, and environmental requirements. Qualification Required - Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering or related field. - 1015 years of experience in production engineering for offshore operations. - Proficiency in Pressure Transient Analysis (PTA) and Rate Transient Analysis (RTA). - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. - Knowledge of well stimulation programs and facility modeling. - Commitment to safety and environmental compliance.
