Role Overview: As a Principal Engineer with over 15 years of experience in Java or .NET, focusing on an AI-first approach, your main responsibility will be to lead the architecture, development, and delivery of scalable enterprise systems. You will be required to design AI-integrated software solutions using Java or .NET stacks, mentor engineers, and drive innovation by incorporating AI/ML capabilities into core platforms. Your role will involve hands-on coding and strategic decision-making for impactful projects in cloud-native environments. Key Responsibilities: - Architect and enhance large-scale distributed systems with microservices, ensuring scalability, resilience, and AI-driven features such as predictive analytics or GenAI integration. - Lead the technical strategy, from requirements gathering to implementation, including API design (REST/gRPC), database optimization (SQL/NoSQL), and performance tuning. - Mentor senior developers, conduct code/design reviews, and promote best practices like TDD, CI/CD, and agile methodologies. - Collaborate with product and engineering leaders to align AI-first solutions with business objectives, utilizing tools like Azure Cognitive Services or cloud ML frameworks. - Identify AI opportunities to improve systems, such as asynchronous processing or multi-cloud deployments. Qualifications: - 15+ years of experience in software engineering, specializing in Java/Kotlin/Spring Boot or .NET/C#/ASP.NET. - Proven track record in developing enterprise-grade, AI-augmented platforms, with expertise in ML/big data, cloud services, and distributed systems. - Proficiency in modern stacks such as React/TypeScript for front-end, Postgres/MongoDB for data management, and AI tools like Claude/Cursor for coding acceleration. - Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, with strong problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
