About the role
You will be working as a Sr. Software Engineer/ Technical Lead (QA Automation Engineer - Playwright) at Chubb, a global insurance leader. Key Responsibilities: - Collaborate with product managers, developers, and data scientists to understand requirements and define test automation strategies. - Analyze requirements, provide estimation, design, develop, and maintain automated test suites for web and API applications using tools such as Playwright, Selenium, or similar. - Integrate AI/ML models into the test automation process to optimize test case generation, defect prediction, and test data creation. - Create and execute automated scripts for regression, functional, and performance testing. - Identify, document, and track defects; work with development teams to ensure timely resolution. - Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated testing. - Write and maintain clear test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test results. - Participate in code reviews and contribute to best practices in test automation and AI integration. - Stay up to date with industry trends in test automation and AI, and share knowledge within the team. - Analyze test results and provide actionable insights to improve product quality. - Conduct Root Cause analysis and update Traceability matrix. Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field. - 6 to 8 years of proven experience in test automation using Playwright, Selenium, or similar frameworks. - Hands-on experience with AI/ML concepts and their application in software testing. - Proficiency in Java, JavaScript, Python, or TypeScript. - Familiarity with API testing tools (e.g., Postman) and automation frameworks (e.g., Rest Assured). - Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter) is a plus. - Strong database query skills. - Solid understanding of software testing methodologies, best practices, and test design techniques. - Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git). - Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills. - Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. - Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, Travis CI) is a plus.
