Position Details: - Function/Department: Advanced Analytics - Location: Hyderabad, India - Employment Type: Full-time - Role Overview Senior Analyst II CAT Modelling Position Description: Provide treaty reinsurance catastrophe modelling support to treaty reinsurance underwriters. Responsibilities: - Would be required to manage multiple priorities efficiently and meet tight deadlines - Would be needed to analyse cedant exposure/modelled results received from underwriters/brokers and import into vendor risk modeling environment for in-house CTRe modelling - Would be involved in communication with Tempest Re US/CAD/UK treaty underwriters and/or cat analysts about follow-up questions and modelling assumptions - Would need to apply complex reinsurance treaty terms and conditions on Cat excess of loss (Cat XL), Working excess of loss (WXL), Quota Share, Surplus Share, second event cover, RPP, aggregate structures for multiple lines of business (LOBs) on regional & local and global cedants with worldwide exposures - Will be responsible for generating accurate modelling results and subsequent pricing within expected timeframe in line with SLAs - Will be accountable for interpreting RMS, AIR modelled results and communicating/explaining them to reinsurance underwriters. - Need to embark on analytical research to study client/broker modeling approach, best practices and reinsurance market trends, process improvement opportunities and contribution to cat-modelling projects and tools/automation initiatives. - Assist team-lead with workflow management, process documentation and quality reviews. - Mentor/ train junior team members on process workflow Requirements: Technical Qualifications / Experience: In-depth CAT modeling knowledge (expertise in using RMS RiskLink/ RiskModeller user interface platforms) along with strong understanding of (re)insurance backtables schema. Experience of 4+yrs in portfolio roll-up/treaty modelling domain. Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office; Proficiency in Excel, Access and SQL Customer focus/Client support: Excellent written communication in English, experience of directly interacting with end customer/client would be an advantage, able to handle rotational shifts (including late evening) Academic Qualifications: Graduate/ Postgraduate in Statistics/ Mathematics/ Economics/ Engineering; Strong analytical skills and attention to detail; knowledge of global reinsurance market, P&C; insurance terminology.
