About the role
Role Overview: As a Data Engineer with 5 years of experience, your main responsibility will be to support and enhance data platforms in a fast-paced and rapidly evolving analytics environment. You will focus on maintaining high-quality data pipelines, ensuring reliable data consumption for business applications, and providing operational excellence across the ecosystem. Key Responsibilities: - Develop, maintain, and optimize data integration and transformation pipelines using Informatica PowerCenter / Informatica Cloud (IICS), AWS Glue, and Spark. - Analyse existing data models and implement performance improvements to accelerate data ingestion and consumption, particularly across AWS RedShift, S3, Informatica, and Tableau layers. - Build and evolve ETL/ELT pipelines and ensure datasets are structured, validated, and ready for business consumption in Tableau Data Source layer. - Support client and business applications in accessing platform data while enforcing data governance, security, and best practices. - Participate in platform monitoring, troubleshoot issues, debug data defects, and ensure system reliability and availability. Qualifications Required: - Strong hands-on experience in Informatica PowerCenter / Informatica Cloud for enterprise ETL development. - At least 5 years of experience in data lake and BI development. - Solid expertise in SQL, relational databases, data warehouse, and data management concepts. - Experience with dbt Development (AWS Redshift) including modular and scalable model design, testing, documentation, data quality and freshness checks, project configurations and environments, performance optimization, and schema evolution. - Knowledge of AWS Big Data services (S3, RedShift, Glue, EMR/Spark), data warehouse design, dimensional modelling, and BI data structures. - Experience using Tableau for reporting, visualization, and analytical insights. Additional Details: The company is based in Bangalore, Karnataka, India, and follows an onsite work model. Educational requirements include a Bachelors or Masters degree in computer science, Information Technology, Data Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related technical field. Certification in Data Engineering, Data Warehousing, BI, or Tableau is preferred.
