QA Automation Engineer with hands-on experience in Playwright

We are seeking a highly motivated QA Automation Engineer with hands-on experience in Playwright to join our quality assurance team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing robust automated test frameworks for web applications, ensuring high performance and reliability. You will collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and other QA team members to deliver high-quality software products.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain end-to-end automated test scripts using Playwright .

Build and scale reusable test automation frameworks for web applications.

Collaborate with development and QA teams to define test strategies and acceptance criteria.

Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI).

Conduct regression, smoke, and functional testing using automation and occasionally manual methods.

Identify, log, and track defects in a clear and concise manner using tools like Jira.

Analyze test results, troubleshoot failures, and work closely with developers for resolution.

Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes, tools, and methodologies.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

3+ years of experience in QA Automation, with at least 1+ year of hands-on experience using Playwright .

Proficient in JavaScript or TypeScript .

Solid understanding of web technologies (HTML, CSS, REST APIs).

Experience with CI/CD tools and pipelines.

Strong understanding of QA methodologies, test planning, and defect management.

Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).

Excellent analytical and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with other test automation tools like Selenium, Cypress, or Puppeteer.

• Knowledge of performance testing or API testing tools (e.g., Postman, RestAssured).

• Experience testing in agile development environments.

• Exposure to containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).

• ISTQB certification or equivalent is a plus.
