As a 3rd level consultant at Cisco, you will be responsible for providing consultation to debug sophisticated network topologies with mixed media protocols, specifically focusing on Data Center Switching. Your role will involve working on complex problems that require in-depth evaluation and analysis. You will provide systems/product training to customers, contributing towards building a knowledge base for customer support and internal partners. Additionally, you will craft and utilize complex lab setups to address problems and validate planned changes to software design. As a focal point for high impact enterprise account problem resolution related to Data Centers, you will collaborate with various stakeholders to drive quality into the product. Your interactions will span across Global TAC teams and development teams at a peer level, representing Cisco's best interests in every case. Key Responsibilities: - Provide 3rd level consultation to debug sophisticated network topologies with mixed media protocols (Data Center Switching) - Work on complex problems requiring in-depth evaluation and analysis - Provide systems/product training to customers and contribute to building a knowledge base - Craft and utilize complex lab setups to address problems and validate planned changes - Act as a focal point for high impact enterprise account problem resolution related to Data Centers - Collaborate with stakeholders to drive quality into the product Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent with 8-10 years of related Data Centre experience - CCNA / CCNP / CCIE - DC certifications would be advantageous - In-depth knowledge of Data Centre Networking and Products - Good experience in the Networking industry with knowledge of products and protocols - Trusted resource in areas of Nx-OS, IOS-XR, IOS-XE, and related technologies Preferred Qualifications: - Familiarity with Data Center Layer 2 overlays such as VXLAN, EVPN - Knowledge of Layer 2 security features like port security, MACsec, ACL, private VLANs - Understanding of Network management protocols including PTP, NTP, DNS, DHCP - Experienced level knowledge in IP internetworking, LAN Switching Protocols, and IP Routing protocols - Understanding of ACI would be advantageous - Customer handling skills Company Additional Details: The company operates in the IT Services & Consulting industry, specifically in the Engineering - Hardware & Networks department.
