As a Sr Applied AI Engineer + Application Architect in the Investment Banking technology team at our company, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and implementing cutting-edge AI/ML solutions for our Investment Banking products. Your expertise will be instrumental in translating complex business challenges into robust, scalable, and high-performance AI systems that deliver tangible value. Key Responsibilities: - Lead the design, development, and implementation of complex middleware applications using Java and Spring Boot. - Architect and optimize database interactions with Oracle, SQL, and MongoDB to ensure high performance and data integrity. - Drive the adoption and continuous improvement of CI/CD pipelines for rapid and reliable software delivery. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements, design solutions, and deliver high-quality software. - Mentor junior and mid-level software engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning. - Research and experiment with AI technologies to enhance developer productivity and improve software quality. - Participate in code reviews, ensuring adherence to coding standards, best practices, and architectural guidelines. - Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues to ensure the stability and performance of production systems. - Contribute to the strategic planning and technical roadmap for middleware platforms. - Conduct tasks related to feasibility studies, time and cost estimates, IT planning, risk technology, and model development. - Monitor and control all phases of the development process and provide user and operational support. - Analyze complex problems/issues, evaluate business processes, and make evaluative judgments. - Develop security measures in post-implementation analysis to ensure successful system design and functionality. - Consult with users/clients and recommend advanced programming solutions. - Define operating standards and processes and serve as an advisor or coach to lower-level analysts. - Assess risk when making business decisions, particularly safeguarding the firm's reputation and assets. Qualifications Required: - Strong understanding of Java, including multithreading, collections, garbage collection, and JVM internals. - Extensive experience with Spring Framework, including Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data JPA, and Spring Security. - Proven experience in designing and developing RESTful APIs and microservices. - Proficiency in SQL and experience with Oracle databases. - Experience with MongoDB, including data modeling, querying, and performance tuning. - Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools and practices. - Proficiency with Git and standard branching strategies. - Experience with unit testing frameworks and integration testing. - Demonstrable exposure and practical experience with AI development tools and methodologies. - Keen desire to apply AI technologies to improve software development processes.
