Java Applications Development Sr Programmer Analyst

As an Applications Development Senior Programmer Analyst at Citi, you will be responsible for contributing to applications systems analysis and programming activities. Your role will involve conducting feasibility studies, providing time and cost estimates, and implementing new or revised application systems and programs to meet specific business needs. You will also monitor and control all phases of the development process, provide user support, and recommend security measures to ensure successful system design and functionality. Additionally, you will utilize your in-depth specialty knowledge to analyze complex problems, evaluate business processes, and make judgements accordingly. Key Responsibilities: - Conduct tasks related to feasibility studies, time and cost estimates, IT planning, risk technology, applications development, model development, and establish and implement new or revised applications systems and programs - Monitor and control all phases of development process, including analysis, design, construction, testing, and implementation - Utilize specialty knowledge to analyze complex problems, evaluate business and system processes, and industry standards - Recommend and develop security measures in post-implementation analysis to ensure successful system design and functionality - Consult with users/clients and technology groups on issues, recommend advanced programming solutions, and assist with customer exposure systems - Ensure essential procedures are followed, define operating standards and processes, and serve as an advisor to new or lower-level analysts Qualifications: - 5-8 years of relevant experience - Experience in systems analysis and programming of software applications - Experience in managing and implementing successful projects - Working knowledge of consulting/project management techniques/methods - Ability to work under pressure, manage deadlines, and adapt to unexpected changes Education: - Bachelors degree/University degree or equivalent experience As an Applications Development Senior Programmer Analyst at Citi, you will need to have expertise in Java development, including hands-on experience in Java, Spring MVC, Spring Batch, and Spring Boot. You should also have a deep understanding and hands-on experience in RESTful APIs, familiarity with relational databases like Oracle and Sybase, and knowledge of DevOps practices and tools. Additionally, experience with AI tools and messaging/event platforms will be beneficial for this role.
