About the role
As a Model Performance Monitoring Analyst within Global Consumer Banking, your primary focus will be on overseeing the performance, analytics, and insights of Non-Regulatory Decision Models for Unsecured products like Credit Cards. Your responsibilities will include: - Performing Root Cause Analysis to explain model performance to the second line of defense and Policy teams for Business risk decisioning. - Analyzing and extracting insights for Credit Risk Non-Regulatory Scoring/Non-Scoring Segmentation models to enhance business value. - Presenting model performance to senior stakeholders, CROs, Risk Policy managers, and Sponsors, illustrating the health of the model and its impact on business scenarios. - Collaborating with Risk Policy leads to understand and implement necessary adjustments in scores for Risk strategies to optimize business benefits and mitigate losses. - Responding to inquiries from the 3rd Line of Defense (Internal and External Auditors) regarding model performance. - Working closely with cross-functional teams like Development, Implementation, Policy, Validation, and Governance teams to coordinate model usage and maintenance activities effectively. - Conducting analysis for benchmark models and other ad hoc analysis as required by business/validation teams. - Training and mentoring junior team members on Model Monitoring and generating insights from various analyses for business enhancement. You should possess: Education: - An Advanced Degree (Bachelors required or Masters preferred) in Statistics, Computer Science, Operations Research, Economics, etc. Skillset: - Strong programming skills in SAS, SQL, Python, Tableau, etc. - Experience in reporting tools like Excel, Tableau. - Understanding of traditional modeling processes and machine learning algorithms. - Good communication skills to convey technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences. - Extensive experience in model monitoring/validation, performance scorecards, etc. - Experience in developing optimal/automated reporting processes using SAS, Excel VBA, Tableau will be advantageous. Qualifications: - Minimum of 2 years of monitoring, reporting & analytics experience. - Experience in risk/marketing reporting, model monitoring, and generating business insights. - Exposure to adopting AI for process efficiency improvements and report automation will be beneficial. You are expected to manage projects independently, drive discussions on Model usage, and deliver comprehensive assessments of model performance. Your role will involve conducting QA/QC on all steps required for model monitoring and production forecast reporting while staying updated on model variables and economic forecasts. Your expertise in data analysis, risk controls, and statistical modeling will be key in contributing to the success of the team and the organization.
