Principal Software Engineer - Python & Java

Role Overview: As a Python Java Principal Software Engineer Vice President at our company, you will be a senior-level position responsible for establishing and implementing new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology team. Your overall objective will be to lead applications systems analysis and programming activities. Key Responsibilities: - Possess programming skills, including concurrent, parallel, and distributed systems programming - Demonstrate advanced level knowledge of Java and Python - Exhibit advanced level experience with HTTP, ReSTful web services, and API design - Utilize messaging technologies such as Kafka - Have experience with Reactive Streams - Familiarity with AWS S3 and GCP Big Query - Good working knowledge of a scripting language such as Groovy, Python, JavaScript, etc. - Experience with Kubernetes - Understand the Linux OS - Familiarity with Gradle and Kotlin would be beneficial Qualifications Required: - Must have 10-16 years of relevant experience in Apps Development using Java, Python, RESTful APIs, KAFKA, Apache Hadoop - Extensive experience in system analysis and programming of software applications - Experience in managing and implementing successful projects - Subject Matter Expert (SME) in at least one area of Applications Development - Ability to adjust priorities quickly as circumstances dictate - Demonstrated leadership and project management skills - Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication - Education: Bachelors degree/University degree or equivalent experience.
