About the role
As a Senior DevOps Engineer at our Life Sciences & Healthcare DevOps team, you will have the exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge products in a DevOps environment. If you are passionate about coding in Python or any scripting language, have experience with Linux, and have worked in a cloud environment, we are eager to hear from you. We specialize in container orchestration, Terraform, Datadog, Jenkins, Databricks, and various AWS services. Key Responsibilities: - Design, develop, and maintain the product's cloud infrastructure architecture, including microservices - Develop infrastructure-as-code and automated scripts for building or deploying workloads through CI/CD pipelines - Collaborate with the Technology engineering team, cloud operations team, and application teams to provide end-to-end infrastructure setup - Design and deploy secure, resilient, and scalable Infrastructure as Code while upholding InfoSec and Infrastructure guardrails through code - Keep up with industry best practices, trends, and standards - Identify automation opportunities, design, and develop automation solutions to improve operations, efficiency, security, and visibility - Own and be accountable for the performance, availability, security, and reliability of the products running across public cloud and multiple regions worldwide - Document solutions and maintain technical specifications Qualifications Required: - At least 7 years of professional software development experience and 5 years as a DevOps Engineer or similar role - Experience with various CI/CD and configuration management tools such as Jenkins, Maven, Gradle, Spinnaker, Docker, Packer, Ansible, Cloudformation, Terraform - At least 3 years of AWS experience managing resources in services like S3, ECS, RDS, EC2, IAM, OpenSearch Service, Route53, VPC, CloudFront, Glue, Lambda - 5 years of experience with Bash/Python scripting - Wide knowledge in operating system administration, programming languages, cloud platform deployment, and networking protocols - Good understanding of SDLC, patching, releases, and basic systems administration activities You will be supporting the development team in building products that rely on container orchestration, Jenkins, various AWS services, Databricks, Datadog, Terraform, and more.
