Electronic Instrumentation Technician

Location: Forbes, MN or Eveleth, MN Cleveland-Cliffs has an immediate opening for an Electronic Instrumentation Technician. This position will oversee various technical functions. Safety is of utmost importance. Work may be in a shop environment or out in the field. Summary of Responsibilities: Inspect, repair, and wire all electrical and/or electronic apparatus, devices, and circuits of any voltage in the mine, plant, or assigned areas; including power transmission lines, transformers, and related equipment. Install, repair, calibrate, test, and adjust any type of integrating, indicating, controlling, or graphic electrical, pneumatic, or mechanical instrument. Work schedules may vary to provide 24/7 coverage for the facility. Other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications: Completion of an accredited electrical training or apprenticeship program 4 years of relevant experience. Preferred Qualifications: Experience within an industrial production environment. May be required to work rotating shifts, weekends, holidays, to ensure 24-hour coverage, 7 days per week during major repairs or as needed. Regular attendance is an essential requirement. Must be able to physically perform all these responsibilities safely: walk on uneven surfaces, climb equipment, operate pickup, and other small fleet vehicles, etc. The pay rate for this role is $41.504 - $43.177/hour Cleveland-Cliffs Inc. is the largest flat-rolled steel company and the largest iron ore pellet producer in North America.
