About the role
As a Java Developer, your role involves executing the full software development life cycle (SDLC), developing flowcharts, layouts, and documentation to identify requirements and solutions, writing well-designed and testable code, producing specifications, and determining operational feasibility. You will integrate software components into a fully functional software system, develop software verification plans, and quality assurance procedures. Documenting and maintaining software functionality, troubleshooting, debugging, and upgrading existing systems are also key responsibilities. Additionally, you will deploy programs, evaluate user feedback, comply with project plans, and industry standards, ensuring software is updated with the latest features. Ensuring designs comply with specifications, presenting the architectural view, preparing and producing releases of software components, and transforming requirements into stipulations are also part of your responsibilities. You should possess excellent knowledge of relational databases, SQL, and ORM technologies (JPA2, Hibernate). Experience in developing web applications using at least one popular web framework (JSF, Wicket, GWT, Spring MVC) is required. Proficiency in software engineering tools, documentation of requirements and specifications, and relevant knowledge of Java GUI frameworks like Swing, SWT, AWT according to project requirements are essential. Additionally, you should be skilled at writing clean, readable Java code, have a basic knowhow of class loading mechanism in Java, experience in handling external and embedded databases, understanding basic design principles behind a scalable application, and creating database schemas that characterize and support business processes. Moreover, your expertise should include implementing automated testing platforms and unit tests, in-depth knowledge of code versioning tools like Git, understanding of building tools like Ant, Maven, Gradle, etc., and expertise in continuous integration. Skills Required: - Relevant Knowledge of Java GUI frameworks like Swing, SWT, AWT according to project requirements - Ability to write clean, readable Java code - Basic knowhow of class loading mechanism in Java - Experience in handling external and embedded databases - Understanding basic design principles behind a scalable application - Skilled at creating database schemas that characterize and support business processes - Basic knowledge of JVM (Java Virtual Machine), its drawbacks, weaknesses, and workarounds - Implementing automated testing platforms and unit tests - In-depth knowledge of code versioning tools, for instance, Git - Understanding of building tools like Ant, Maven, Gradle, etc. - Expertise in continuous integration This job requires candidates with BE/B.Tech, BSc, ME/M.Tech, MSc qualifications.
