Locations) Job Type: [Contract based: subcontractor, contractual] Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented App Packaging Consultant to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating, testing, and deploying application packages for enterprise environments using tools like SCCM, App-V, and MSI. This role requires strong scripting skills, a deep understanding of Windows operating systems, and experience with software deployment processes. Key Responsibilities: Analyze application requirements and determine packaging strategy. Create application packages in MSI, App-V, or other formats. Perform application compatibility testing and remediation. Collaborate with application owners and vendors to gather packaging requirements. Maintain and update packages using Configuration Manager (SCCM). Troubleshooting packaging and deployment issues. Ensure compliance with security and operational standards. Provide third-level support for application deployment issues. Required Skills & Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. 5+ years of experience in application packaging and deployment. Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell and VBScript. Experience with SCCM, App-V, ThinApp, and MSI packaging tools. Strong understanding of Windows OS and registry settings. Familiarity with Active Directory and Group Policy. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills. ITIL certification or similar is a plus. Preferred Certifications: Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate ITIL Foundation CISSP or equivalent (for security-focused environments)
